There were over 16,700 degree students in residence in 2002/03. Almost a quarter of these students were from overseas with more than 130 nationalities represented.

The University has 20,000 full-time and part-time students, approximately 10 per cent of whom are from overseas. In terms of graduate employment, 97 per cent of graduates left university and entered employment at the end of 2000/2001.
